The Review:

Rick Ray is the hardest working man in rock and roll today. With 28 releases under his belt, Rick has been around for the past three decades. Most of the albums were released within the past 10 years. His approach to music is truly unique these days, almost a lost art of dedication and uncompromising lyrics and instrumentation. Temporary World is Rick’s 28th album and most diverse recording to date. Like his other release, Neurosis Records, released Temporary World. His style can be best describes as a channeling of such greats as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Frank Marino and Frank Zappa along with Dixie Dregs.

The Temporary World album has it all from delicate acoustic pieces to psychedelia to fantastic prog fusion. It also has more personal lyrics which deal with ideas and emotions surrounding the passing of close souls. It’s truly a moving emotional album. I think CD Baby (one place you can purchase this album at) says it best about this album, “Intense Psychedelic Progressive Hard Rock - Jazz Fusion with thought provoking lyrics.” That about says it all for all of Rick’s albums. Go to his site today and get Temporary World. This is by far his best release to date!
