The Review:

I had the extreme pleasure of reviewing many of Glass Hammer releases over the years including their first DVD Lex Live, and now they have released a second dvd called Live At Belmont. Many differences are evident on this release including The Belmont University Singers and The Belmont Women’s Choir backing the band and the addition of guest vocalist Carl Groves of Salem Hill.

The music covered on this dvd is mainly from their more recent releases including Shadowland and The Inconsolable Secret . So fans are treated to an entirely different concert than on the first dvd.

After many viewings, it’s plain to see that Glass Hammer has become a well oiled live act. It’s also evident that the band feels more confident on the stage which gives a better show. Adding to the fantastic delivery of the band is the addition of The Adonia String Trio.

The second DVD contains rehearsals, behind-the-scenes video footage and much more. Glass Hammer gives their fans more bang for their buck that will give hours and hours of pleasure for years to come, especially to those of us unfortunate enough to witness the band in person.

This is a fantastic place to start if you’re new to the band as well as a must have for long time fans. I can’t recommend this enough.
