The Review:

A group from the eclectic music haven known as Nashville, Tennessee called Xilehom introduces themselves with their début, Light Years. On paper, 'progressive' and 'pop' may not be a marriage made in heaven, but Xilehom somehow makes the union work with good arrangements, vocals provided by singer Wen, and a legion of instruments (including but not limited to cello, acoustic guitar, and slide guitar) manned by a talented band of musicians.

The strongest tracks on Light Years are "Rapture"; "Wake Up Buddha"; examples of interesting lyrics, musical instrument arrangement and the mere sound of Wen's voice. Don't be put off by the "progressive art pop" label; rather listen without prejudice to Xilehom's Light Years.
