The Review:

Los Angeles based trio, HB3 has a new release called The Veldt which is based on a short story by Ray Bradbury. This band crosses over all musical barriers from electronica, hip-hop, jazz-fusion and progressive & art rock. The band consists of HB (vocals, bass), Steve Casa (guitar), and Mario Lackner (drums).

Honestly, unless you’re into the eclectic side of music, you probably won’t enjoy this latest offering. I’ve listened to it now close to a dozen times and it still hasn’t stuck in my head. This has got to be one of the more unique bands I‘ve reviewed in a while. I’m sure if I listened another dozen or so times, it’ll probably gel with me. I would highly suggest that the casual yet curious listener to go to HB3‘s MySpace page and hear for yourself before diving in.
