The Review:

Tribute albums are on the uprise these days and saturating the music world with some less than flattering renditions. This not like those other tribute albums that are flooding the market, because the here Valensia can deliver the goods. The reason, is he has Freddie Mercury’s vocals down, almost flawless at times. While it’s not a perfect tribute, it has more to offer than most that I’ve heard in a long time. One of the best selling points for me is it’s one band doing the songs rather than a collection of bands.

At times the vocals are really smooth and on par with Freddie's best. I believe Valensia captured more of the live sound rather than the studio, mainly because I can hear his accent peering through at times and there’s some roughness when hitting some of the higher notes.

I’m not fond of tribute albums but if I had to pick one that stands out, it would be this one. It’s a nice take of classic Queen that most fans with an open mind will enjoy Valensia’s efforts.p>Reviewed by Ron Fuchs on October 19th, 2004
