The Review:

This is the latest in a long string of tribute releases from Lion Music. Some have been less than desirable, while this one seems to capture the spirit of Shawn Lane/ I must admit that I’m unfamiliar with Shawn’s work so I and reviewing this release without any comparison points to the original songs. I can say that each of the songs have the highest regard for Shawn’s music and display a style of shredding that’s unlike anything on Lion Music’s label. I’m gathering Shawn’s style of guitar playing is based somewhat in the Southern Rock category but I can’t be sure. This is a nice introduction for someone like me to look into Shawn’s music.

Fan’s of Shawn Lane should enjoy the sections and performances. I shall be looking into the originals thanks to this CD. Very recommended for those that enjoy good old rocking music.
