The Review:

The Cry Room ‘s self titled debutcombines melodic pop music with progressive and art rock influences with wonderful results. The music is very infectious to a point of the songs stay in your head long after the CD is over The vocals have a warm friendly familiar vibe that is easily pleasing to the listener’s ears.

Fans of Radiohead and Pink Floyd will especially enjoy The Cry Room as well as those into the pop side of progressive rock. Unlike other bands, The Cry Room doesn’t copy and particular sound, they use their influences as stepping stones to create a somewhat unique sound.

If this debut is any indication of what’s to come for this Tennessee based band then we’re all in for some excellent music. This is easily one of my favorite releases of 2005. Tired of what some of the more established bands are doing or adventurous at heart? Then take a chance and check them out soon!
