The Review:

Musically Smeer is somewhere between hard rock and metal. It has bits of the Seattle grunge sound as well as the current nu-metal sound. There are some similarities to Nirvana, mainly in the vocal stylet. There are other things I hear ranging from Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Nickelback, Soundgarden and Metallica.

Upon listening to the music, it’s clear that it is melodic but hard, raw and emotional. This is clearly a winning combination for Lion Music. Smeer is one of their most accessible sounding bands to date. Although it’s all been done before, it seems that in today’s mainstream marketplace that Smeer will have a fruitful career.
