The Review:
- Leave it to Germany to do progressive metal right! The mix of vocals for this band is reminiscent of Battlelore, with a mixture of clean female vocals and extreme male vocals and there are no limp or sappy keyboards here, even as remixes. The EP, a limited edition add-on to their album Eternitas, launches into a furious drive from the first to the last notes.
It would be unfair to pick one single track from this album as a stand out, especially since these are remixes, as they are all very tight and well-arranged, although I will admit I thought Invictus and the TimV version of The Dark Gift were impressive. Satyrian will make a huge mark on the Finnish music landscape and I look forward to hearing their work in the future.
