As I mentioned in my review of Oblivion, I received a package containing two Robin Wynn cds. The second one was, The Broken Sky EP, which was released August 12, 2005.

It’s a fine follow-up to Oblivion but with a even more "folksier" edge than hee debut record. The songs even have a more personal touch this time around with just Robin and her guitar. One of the highlights of this album is the title track, "Broken Sky", which is the album opener. Here, Robin is joined by guest percussionist Stuart Gunter on this track. If you wanted to hear for yourself, she’s offering a free download of this track at her website (see link above).

One can only speculate as to the direction of her next release but hopefully it’s not a predictable succession as most artist in this genre fall prey to. This is yet another surprise release of 2005. I do believe one day soon, Robin’s name will be a household musical name.Tracks:

1. Broken Sky
2. Iron Rose
3. Hate How I Love You So
4. The Bells
5. Terminal
