The Review:

First Band from Outer Space returns with it’s second invasion (album) of modern space rock. The band currently calls Sweden their home-base here on Earth They continue where their debut, We’re Only Here For The Spacerock, left off with the odd sounds, strange vocal hybrid of Swedish and something from outer space, aggressive rocking and swirling synths throughout the album. Just like the first album, there’s extended jams of guitar, flutes, synthesizers and drums. For those of you into the vintage 70's sound, the bass is nice and fat, pounding through each song.

I will admit to having some knowledge of this genre but not enough to give detailed descriptions and/or referential tidbits I can say that musically First Band From Outer Space ranks up there with Ozric Tentacles, Hawkwind and Gong to name a few.

I must admit, I thought this band was going to be a novelty act due to their name. Boy was I happily off-base here with First Band From Outer Space. They prove that they’re here to stay and bringing back that classic feel of how music is supposed to feel, not the over-processed mechanical music often found today.

In closing, I would highly recommend this band and album to the fans afore mentioned and similar bands. This is also one of those albums that must be played very loud or for a better experience, on headphones.
