The Review:

Dave Corp is a trio consisting of Dave Archer (At War With Self) on keyboards, Matt Hankle (drums and percussions) and Mr. Grin (bass) The music they create is honestly unclassifiable yet fits very well within the progressive and fusion genres. With lengths of songs ranging from 6 to slightly over 8, sure to satisfy the fans of these genres.

It’s obvious from the first note of the album that this is a keyboard centric band with the drums and bass as supporting system. The whole albums is filled with fuzzy keyboard sounds, amazing yet down-to-earth soloing by Dave. The music is complex, jazzy, heavy and fuzzy yet catchy at times.

If you like heavy, fuzzy fusion says like Niacin or even the more recent PLP (trio) then Dave Corp is the band for you. You can make up your mind aural wise by checking out Dave Corp on MySpace. I really enjoy this and recommend it in a heartbeat. I hope to hear more from Dave Corp, maybe something more complex?!.
